Introducing the Dataset of Political Science Datasets (DPSD, v1.1)!
This dataset includes information on 70+ datasets, mostly focused on political science but of relevance to related fields (e.g., economics, sociology). These data cover American Politics, Comparative Politics, and International Relations, with information on topics from public opinion and participation across the world to data on armed conflicts and military resource distribution, both historic and contemporary.
With that said, this list is surely not comprehensive. Indeed, having any single comprehensive list of all datasets is likely extremely difficult and is not the goal of this unfunded side project for the public good. Instead, this list has been cultivated to provide a starting point for finding data on many standard questions in political science; a list of great use to students and junior researchers. For more comprehensive lists with more specific data, consult the Dataverses and other Datasets of Datasets listed within this dataset and found elsewhere online.
Please use the links below to access the dataset, suggest a new dataset be added, suggest an edit to an already included dataset, or request an already included dataset be removed.
Note that I do not own any of these data sources. Cite the original authors/creators when using, read any corresponding material, and use the datasets wisely.
Last, if you found this helpful, consider sharing with others!
Thank you,
Joseph A. Coll
